DJ Workshops

If you are interested in getting the Ridiculous DJ Academy for an event or workshop, we offer lots of options. We offer custom courses for afterschool programs, unique activities for corporate parties, and entertaining presentations for music classes or social groups. The Art of DJing

A two hour crash course in all things DJ related. Includes brief historical overview of the DJ's role in music, scratching and mixing demos, and hands on time for up to 8 people who want to get 'in the mix' and learn some basic skills.

The Quick Scratch

For everyone who has always wished the DJ at the club would let them go wild on their turntables. Spend two hours learning all the basics of scratching, plus demos of battle routines, mixing tricks, famous drum breaks and more.

The History Lesson

Great for school groups. An interactive demonstration of the history of hip-hop and the DJ. This program takes a look at famous songs from the past 20 years and show how DJing past and present plays a part in the music we listen to everyday. Plus a hands on mixing lesson at the end of the class.

Modern Music Production

Learn how Timbaland, Will.I.Am, Kanye West, and other superproducers make their hits. We'll break down some current hot songs and show you the behind-the-scenes magic that goes into making hit records.
